You Are Not Your Thoughts

The only person who will ever judge you for your thoughts is you, and since we cannot control our thoughts there’s no justification in doing that.

Everyone has thoughts they don’t want to have, like imagining bad things happening or even having unsavory or unpleasant thoughts about people or things they might do. This is something we all experience, it’s not specific to people with anxiety disorder or OCD.

What matters is what you do – certainly not what you think.

So, next time you find those intrusive or unpleasant thoughts echoing around inside your head, just let them pass without engaging or resisting, and without judgment. The less you resist them or engage with them, the less frequent they will become.

You are completely normal, don’t ever think otherwise!
