I was given the option to try fluvoxamine for my panic attacks but I am worried about using them now after reading about the possible side effects or issues that can come up from taking the medication. The one that freaks me out the most is the risk of serotonin syndrome. How common is this with this medication?

I found a list of side effects for you:

    https://www.webmd.com/drugs/2/drug-1049-7095/fluvoxamine-oral/fluvoxamine-oral/details/list-sideeffects

On the list, serotonin is considered a rare but serious issue. I am not sure what is considered “rare” in this context but I would imagine this means fewer than 3% are affected.
